Welcome to Guide Maker. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Guide Maker browser extension (the “Extension”) and any related services provided by us. By installing, accessing, or using the Extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Guide Maker, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you are using the Extension on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Guide Maker is a productivity tool designed to help users:

  • Create interactive step-by-step walkthroughs (Flows) on websites.
  • Edit and manage guidance content.
  • Share and deploy guides via the Extension interface.
  • Access premium features through paid subscription plans.

3. User Accounts & Google Authentication

  • Third-Party Login: Guide Maker allows you to sign in using your Google Account. By using this feature, you authorize us to access certain information from your Google profile (such as your name, email address, and profile picture) as permitted by your Google privacy settings.
  • Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. Guide Maker is not responsible for any unauthorized access resulting from a compromise of your Google credentials.
  • Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate information when setting up your profile through Google.

4. Payments, Subscriptions, and Refunds

  • Billing: Premium features are available via subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the fees indicated for that service.
  • Payment Processors: Payments are processed via secure third-party providers (e.g., Stripe). Guide Maker does not store your full credit card details.
  • Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
  • Refund Policy: Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you experience technical issues that prevent service use, please contact support within 14 days.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Our Property: The Extension, including its code, design, logos, and original content, is the exclusive property of Guide Maker.
  • User Content: You retain ownership of the “Flows” and content you create. By using the service, you grant Guide Maker a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

6. Data Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our use of information collected from your Google Account and your usage of the Extension is governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

7. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or modify the Extension.
  • Use the Extension for any illegal purpose or to scrape sensitive data.
  • Circumvent any payment or usage limits.

8. Limitation of Liability

Guide Maker is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Guide Maker shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Extension.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be notified via the Extension or our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
